Die Brennerei Highland Park liegt auf der Hauptinsel Mainland des Archipels Orkney. Die Destillerie befindet sich am s\u00fcdlichen Ortsrand des Hauptortes Kirkwall. Die Destillerie Highland Park wurde 1798 gegr\u00fcndet. Der Whisky ist mit einem kr\u00e4ftigen rauchigen und heidekraut- bzw. malzartigem Charakter versehen, da f\u00fcr das M\u00e4lzen Torf aus der Region verwendet wird. Dieses Torf ist noch sehr jung und deshalb durchsetzt mit Heidekraut. Er geh\u00f6rt zweifellos mit zu einem der besten Single Malts, hat Tiefgang, ist rund und hat einen langen Abgang. Ihn gibt es in vielen verschiedenen Varianten und er gilt unter den Whiskykennern als Allrounder und genie\u00dft auch bei ausgesprochenen Whiskyexperten wie Michael Jackson einen ausgezeichneten Ruf.<\/p>\n

\nGeschmack:Auch hier wieder Honigs\u00fc\u00dfe, dazu etwas Malz, es wird warm ums Herz!
\nNachhall: Sehr gut strukturierter Whisky, winkt noch recht lang fr\u00f6hlich nach. Der Rauch kommt deutlicher hervor.<\/p>\n
